What I've been up to these days...

Hudson's 100 day school shirt with the crazy Dr.Seus fabric. ( I hear he is having a birthday next week!)
Yes, the "a" is backwards...it's meant to be.

The newest princess: Rapunzel! I love all of the bright colors together!

and who doesn't love that cute black mouse?
I know I can't wait to see him and her in a couple of weeks!

Orange & Black school spirit with a bit of zebra! I think that zebra will go with about any color these days!

and last but not least, a sneak peek of Avery's Disney wardrobe. Hopefully I will post a full outfit before we leave!

Have a great week!!!!!! :)

Hippie Chickie...

Avery's Valentine outfit from Lois Jean's Linens (aka my bestie Angie). I loved how it turned out with her cowboy boots.

2nd try at a cute smile.

3rd times a charm!

Now we are trying to do the piece sign (2 fingers up). She decided to do 2 fingers but one on each hand!

Still trying to figure out how to put 2 fingers up on one hand.

I hope everyone had a lovely V-day.

3 week count down until we leave for DISNEY!!!!!!!!!!

Big girl bed

Last picture of Avery in her baby crib. **sniff sniff**
I loved this crib, you may not be able to tell, but it's a pale pink Jenny Lind crib. It will stay with me and maybe someday a long time from now I will be able to use it for my grandkids.

Papa disassembling the crib and Avery telling him how to do it.

Avery is showing us how she is going to sleep in her bed once it's together. I think it was just about nap time at this point.

Papa is serious now with his hat on backwards. Yes, Avery is STILL giving instructions like she knows how to do it.

Completed! This bed is going to be painted pale pink and be converted to a princess daybed eventually once it warms up and I put it on the TO-DO-LIST!
Well naptime did not go over so well...NO NAP WAS ACCOMPLISHED.
Bedtime has been a success so far and we are 2 hours in.
Please pray that it continues this way and that tomorrow she DOES take a nap because that's mommy time!

GOODNIGHT FRIENDS!

Future basketball star

or at least this momma thinks so! Hudson is playing upward basketball for the first time and having a blast. See that handsome coach in the back, that would be Kevin aka "daddy".

Here's Hudson trying to get his teammate to pass the ball. There were two girls on the other team we played last Saturday and they were VERY GOOD. It made me wonder if Avery will play basketball or be the cheerleader on the sideline????
After the game we came home and the kids helped papa shovel the snow in the driveway. I think my kids could live outside no matter how cold it is. They do not get this trait from me, good thing papa was out there!
Here's Avery trying to help. She was the only one out of the three that would turn and look for a picture!

LQQK WHAT I'VE FOUND ON CRAIGSLIST...

So if you know me very well, you know one of my true loves is CRAIGSLIST! I LOVE furniture! My husband I'm sure is going to have to send me to craigslist anonymous soon for therapy. Look at this awesome solid wood 6 ft custom desk I bought for $100 (a total steal!) I had intentions on putting it in the family room downstairs behind the couch for the kids to do art projects and stuff...BUT the more I thought about it the more I thought it would make a great sewing table to put both my sewing machine and embroidery machine on. Cha Ching! The best part is that the wood matches downstairs and all I need to do is change out the hardware (I can't do brass). :)
Here is Miss Avery's new "big girl" bed. Another craigslist find. I have been searching for a bed for her for a while with certain expectations, one being that the foot board and headboard had to be the exact same because we are going to make this into a daybed for her. All of our bedrooms are extremely small (which I hate). Kevin is going to make a back for the bed and hopefully it will look
more like this....

I'm very excited now to make the transition to a big girl bed for Avery. We have plans...1. sleep in big girl bed without a fight. 2. get through Disney trip in March...3. GET RID OF THE 'FEEF' AKA PACIFIER!.
Wish me luck!
And I haven't forgot about Mr. Hudson. His room will be re-done here soon as well. Here are some ideas that I've picked up online.

(completely forget what blog I saw this off of, but totally  cute and functional)

And the one below would definitely be different colors for Hudson, but to show that I'm going to add a sconce for him to be able to read and for a  night light. I'm very excited about these projects for functionality and storage!
